Besides that, if you are in a rush to not miss your flight or don’t like arriving early at an airport, Global Entry membership can make it lighter.
Thus we have collected everything for people who use global Entry and business travel. Also, this article aims to highlight how to renew global Entry for business people.
HOW CAN YOU APPLY FOR GLOBAL ENTRY?
It is a Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) administered and regulated by the United States Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). It is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and citizens of other participating countries.
The program aims to check travelers’ identities and enroll them in expedited security screening. This process prevents security lines from becoming overwhelmingly long, leading to regular travelers’ better and hassle-free travel experience.
And if you want to be a part of Global Entry, you have to go through a multi-step application process. If all goes smooth, be approved by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It is essential to make sure you’re eligible to be a part of the Global Entry program.
GLOBAL ENTRY MEMBERSHIP
To get Global Entry membership, you create an account and apply via the agency’s Trusted Traveler Programs website. This application will ask you for basic personal information like your name and residential address.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will review your information and email you with a preliminary decision. If your application gets approved, you will be asked to attend an in-person interview at a Global Entry enrollment center. These centers are mainly located at international airports and local customs and border protection offices.
IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS
After the application process, you’ll be required to bring a valid passport and another form of identification such as a driving license or ID card for the interview. Furthermore, lawful permanent U.S. residents have to bring their machine-readable permanent resident cards.
If approved, you must receive your Global Entry card through the mail. When you move internationally, you still have to bring your passport with you, but you can utilize the Global Entry card to cross at sea and land ports of Global Entry into the United States.
WHO’S ELIGIBLE FOR GLOBAL ENTRY?
You must be a U.S. lawful permanent resident or U.S. citizen to pass the global Entry. Residents of select countries can also apply and qualify for the program. Also, to know more, you must learn about international application requirements.
Moreover, the applicants under the age of 18 must come with a parent or legal guardian’s consent to become part of Global Entry.

HOW MUCH DOES IT CHARGE TO GET A GLOBAL ENTRY MEMBERSHIP?
It costs $100 every time you ask for the renewal or applies for a Global Entry application. On the other hand, memberships get renewed after every five years. Fortunately, all business travelers can cover the charges with a premium travel credit card or membership in traveling by air rewards program.
Apply American Express – Receive either a $100 statement credit for Global Entry or a credit of up to $85 for TSA PreCheck after you apply through any Authorized Enrollment Provider. Only one credit will be given in a 4 year period for Global Entry or in a 4.5 year period for TSA PreCheck, depending on whichever application fee is charged to your eligible American Express® Card first. The application fee credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck is available to American Express Gold Corporate Card Members, Consumer Platinum Card® Members, Corporate Platinum Card Members, Business Platinum Card Members, Consumer Centurion® Members, Corporate Centurion® Members, Business Centurion® Members, Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Card Members, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Card Members, Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business Card Members, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business Card Members, and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card Members.
DO I NEED A GLOBAL ENTRY MEMBERSHIP?
U.S. CBP or Customs and Border Protection offers international travelers more time to use their current Global Entry membership while waiting for renewal.
Specifically, U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, and Mexican nationals are issued Global Entry cards. Moreover, it is unnecessary to get a Global Entry card to continue using Global Entry at airport kiosks. A card is only used for expedited Entry at the NEXUS and SENTRI lanes coming into the United States.
It is seen that CBP or Customs and Border Protection accepts Global Entry cards for lawful U.S. entry at sea and land airports of Entry. The cards have radio frequency identification, which allows the usage at SENTRI and NEXUS expedited travel lanes leading to the U.S. Global Entry cards are not valid for Entry into Canada via the NEXUS kiosks and lanes.
You cannot submit your card at Global Entry kiosks, which require passports or U.S. lawful permanent resident cards. Global Entry cardholders must understand and follow all program rules for NEXUS and SENTRI when using this card at land and seaports of Entry.
